Kana is the adoptive mother to Akiko. Kana is married to Reina Kumagara, and co-parents Akiko with her. Even though Kana is fairly close in age to Akiko, she did her best to be a good parent and teach her a lot along the way as they both grew together.

Kana is a first gen member of a popular girl's idol group called KUMAKUMA GIRLS, along with her wife, and enjoys writing lyrics, choreography, and singing! Although her English isn't great, she loves to sing the English lyrics in her songs.

Kana is a major influence in Akiko's musical tastes, and they share a lot of love for similar artists and go to live shows together often.

Because of the close proximity of their ages, people sometimes mistake Kana for a sister to Akiko, especially because they do share a resemblance to each other...

Kana Kuragari is a married woman living in Chiba, Japan, alongside her wife, Reina, and her daughter, Akiko, who with the other members of her idol group, she discovered about 21 years ago, curled up in a ball on a cold night in Chiba Park.

Kana and her wife would be the third set of parents who would eventually house Akiko, with the others not having enough funds to raise the child. The two young women were on the rise in their idol group, already starting to sell out large stadium shows, when they realized they could take on the responsibility of caring for the young girl they found.

Akiko was officially adopted by the pair 18 years ago, while Kana herself was still young and had a lot of growing up to do, and they did their best to instill confidence and strength in her, made it known always that she is loved, and gave her a place to call home. They loved the girl, and she loved them, too.
